Cwmavon RFC – ‘warn and inform’ message

Neath Port Talbot Council’s Test, Trace and Protect (TTP) Service wants people to be aware some people who have tested positive for Covid-19 visited Cwmavon RFC’s clubhouse in Port Talbot during their infectious period.

They are known to have visited the clubhouse in Depot Road, Cwmavon, on November 13th  (Friday) and November 14th  (Saturday) .

If you have visited this premises and have fully completed the track and trace records, the Test, Trace and Protect team should have your contact details and you will be contacted by a member of this team to provide further advice if required.

If you have visited the club and are currently symptomatic (loss of smell or taste, a new and continuous cough and a high temperature) you should NOT wait to be contacted by the TTP team you are advised to immediately:
• Self-isolate along with any household members;
• Book a test online at  https://sbhub.nhs.wales . Those not online can ring 01639 862757

If you have visited the above premises and are NOT symptomatic then you do NOT need to book a test or self-isolate, unless you display symptoms or are instructed to do so by the relevant officials.

Residents are also reminded that as part of the Test, Trace, Protect service if you are symptomatic and receive a positive test result you should self-isolate and remain at home for at least 10 days and anyone in your household or that you have been in contact with should self-isolate for 14 days - even if they feel well or receive a negative test.

Doing this will help prevent the spread of the virus to family, friends, colleagues and the wider community and help protect the NHS.
