Bulky Items Collection

Don't call us to arrange a collection of bulky items. Do it online. We appreciate that slots are booked quickly. We release them regularly so keep checking the site.

We can arrange a collection for bulky items of household waste that are too big for your bin like mattresses, sofas, fridges and cookers.

There is a £23.50 charge for this service.

Due to the fair use policy this service cannot be used for house clearances. As we don’t offer a house clearance service you will need to arrange disposal of the items yourself. This service is for residents only. We do not offer this service to businesses/landlords.

How collection works

When you book online, you will be offered a selection of dates on which the collection can be made in your area.

Collections start at 6am and go on until around 3:30pm. Please put your items out for collection the night before.

This is a kerbside collection so please present items at the front of the property.

If items will block the pavement (or there is no pavement), leave them at the edge of the property boundary (such as end of the drive). Please state this at the time of booking.

There is a £23.50 charge for this service.

Items we collect

The types of items we will collect include:
  • furniture,
  • televisions and large electrical goods,
  • carpets,
  • white goods including washing machines, fridges and fridge freezers.
  • play equipment - please dismantle larger items such as trampolines
  • We will also collect small items. The charge is the same.

Items are recycled/reused where possible. 

We operate a fair use policy and we will only pick up a limited number of items per collection

Items we will not collect

We will not collect
  • asbestos;
  • boilers, gas bottles or oil tanks.
  • broken glass;
  • clinical waste;
  • construction and demolition waste (building waste);
  • from Commercial Premises
  • garden waste;
  • general bags of rubbish e.g. black bags
  • hazardous household waste;
  • pianos;
  • tins of paint;
  • trade waste;
  • wall/floor tiles

These items will be accepted from residents at theHousehold Waste Recycling Centres.

Changes to your booking

To make any changes to your collection, please phone customer services (01639) 686868 at least 48 hours before collection day.


You can cancel the collection and get a full refund as long as you inform us before the day of your collection date.

You will need to telephone us on 01639 686868 to cancel the collection and obtain a refund, as we are unable to offer this service online at this time.

Donating items

If the items are in good condition there are charities who may be interested in taking the items to give to families in need. Our charity partner is the Enfys Foundation who can be contacted on 01639 641631.

You can also donate to our Reuse Shop, located in the Briton Ferry Recycling Centre.
