NPT residents in the Swansea Valley area are able to use the HWRC at Lower Cwmtwrch. Please ensure you check their revised procedures before visiting.

From 28th August, our bag splitting operation will be up and running at Cymmer Household Recycling Centre. Please make sure no recyclable materials are in your black bags.
Rules for visiting
- You must have booked a 10 minute slot using our online booking system before your visit
- Respect staff whilst on or waiting to access the site
- Proof of residency will be required
- You will be asked to open any black bags and sort the contents for recycling. To save time on site, we suggest that you sort your waste before you arrive.
- Please note that the site closes at 5pm. If you are booking a late afternoon slot you will need to arrive on time. Late entry cannot be accommodated. Please be respectful to the site staff should you be unable to access the site.
- You don't need to call us to cancel a booking, just click on 'cancel your booking' in your confirmation email which you received when you booked.

Householders with vans, pick-ups and double axle trailers can access recycling centres at Briton Ferry and Cymmer. You must have booked a permit and allocated time slot. This can be done below.

- Single axle trailers can also access the recycling centres but permits are not required.
- Tipper/ Flatbed' vans and large 7.5t vans are not allowed on site
- Residents are allowed a maximum of 12 permits per year (from 1st April to 31st March the following year) for all vans, pick-up vehicles and double axle trailers.

Each household can dispose of up to 3 sacks (1 black bag is equivalent to one sack) per week for free at any of the sites - not including asbestos
Larger loads will have to be taken to the site located in Briton Ferry Industrial Estate and paid for as per the charging schedule below.

The weight of waste will be charged as follows (the upper limit of each weight band will be used to calculate the payment)
This does NOT include asbestos which will be charged per sheet / item.
- 0 to 100 kg
- 100 to 250 kg
- 250 to 500 kg
- 500 to 1,000 kg
Any amount greater than 1,000 kg will be charged at 500 kg increments.
The weighbridge will be available between:
- 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday-Friday
- 8.30am to 12.30pm Saturday and Sunday
Credit/debit card payments are only available between 8.30am to 4.00pm Monday-Friday.
Cheque or cash payments only on Saturday and Sunday.
