Personal Assistant Vacancies

  1. DPSS257 - Personal Assistant - Margam - 6 hours per week (Neath)

    I am a young man in my 20s living in the Margam area with my dad.  I am a very active young man and like to keep busy. I love meeting people and am very sociable, even though I’m non-verbal I can still communicate what I want to you. I enjoy going to a day service and enjoy going on public transport, especially for a ride around on the bus. When I’m at home I enjoy playing games on my computer and iPad. I have a 3-wheeled bike that I like to ride regularly. I enjoy going to parks and visiting The Gnoll and Margam Park.  I have an interest in buses and like to visit the Bus Museum and Swansea Bus Station.  I do not like loud noises i.e., hand dryers, vacuuming, mowing, power tools and motorbikes. I’m looking for a PA to join my team and pick up the evening shifts so my dad can get on with chores like making dinner.

    6 hours per week.

    Between Monday and Friday 5pm - 6:30pm (1.5 hours each evening). 

  2. DPSS278 - Personal Assistant/Cover PA - 6 hours a week - Alltwen (Pontardawe)

    I am a young man in my early twenties and I live in the Pontardawe area.

    6 hours to be used flexibly throughout the week.

  3. DPSS287 - Personal Assistant - Baglan - 6 hours per week (Port Talbot)

    I am a 59 year old man living in Baglan with my three large but friendly dogs. I am chatty and friendly with a big personality. I have osteoarthritis in my spine, which can affect my mobility, but regular moving and exercise helps with this. I also have a brain injury due to an accident, which can affect my memory. I am very outdoorsy and enjoy walking my three dogs, gardening and doing DIY around the home. I have my own workshop at home where I do woodturning. I also like going out for coffee and other activities.

    6 hours a week to be used as 3 x 2 hour blocks on a Mon, Wed and Fri.

    Times are flexible.

  4. DPSS306 - Personal Assistant - Neath - 4 Hours on a Tuesday (Neath)

    I am a lady in my 50s living in the Neath area. I am a Guide Leader and I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me to continue to do this.  I have a good sense of humour and enjoy being outdoors/doing activities with my brownies and guides groups. I have MS so I would require assistance in getting about in my wheelchair as I am unable to walk. I have an automatic car and would require a PA with a driving licence to drive this as well as access to their own vehicle with business insurance.

    CAR DRIVER IS ESSENTIAL

    4 hours per week on Tuesday evenings 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

    Some additional cover hours may be offered from time to time to cover annual leave and sickness of my other Personal Assistant as well as supporting me to attend other activities within brownies where required. 

     

  5. DPSS340 - Personal Assistant - 5 hrs per week - Rhyd-Y-Fro (Pontardawe)

    I’m a lady in my 30s living in quite a rural area of Pontardawe. My home is approximately 5 miles from Pontardawe cross and is accessed via a country lane. I live with my mum, pet dogs and cats. I am a wheelchair user when out and about. I have epilepsy and experience seizures daily. I am a classically trained singer and I love music, nature, photography art and attending choirs and social groups. I also help to run a social group. I am also a Welsh speaker.

    CAR DRIVER IS ESSENTIAL

    5 hours per week – possibly increasing to more.

    Hours to be used in the evenings or on the weekends as 2.5 hours each. Days and times flexible.

     

  6. DPSS360 - Personal Assistant - Port Talbot - 6 hours per week (Port Talbot)

    I am a 50 year old Autistic lady living in the Port Talbot area with my older children and pet dogs. I enjoy art and art therapy, using my iPad and spending time with my family. I have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which can leave me exhausted and in pain. Additionally I have a problem with my joint called SI dysfunction which leaves me in a lot of pain. I’m looking for a PA to help me around the house, with correspondence and making phone calls and sorting out my appointments. I also require a PA to support me with my shopping as and when. 

    6 hours per week.

    Potentially Monday, Wednesday and Friday's (2 hours per day) however, I offer a degree of flexibility which can be discussed during interview.

    Flexibility is preferred as times/days may vary on occasion.

     

     

  7. DPSS375 - Personal Assistant - 10 hours - Longford (Neath)

    I am a 49 old gentleman living in Longford with my pet cat. I have Agoraphobia and have impaired mobility. I use a buggy when I’m out. I find it hard in open spaces and sometimes collapse. I am interested in watching TV, playing games, quizzes, indoor bowls, puzzles and going out in the community.

    CAR DRIVER IS ESSENTIAL

    10 hours to be split across 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday's and either Thursday's or Friday's) - Preferably mornings 9:30am onwards due to my activities starting at 10am. There is also a degree of flexibility with this role which we can discuss during interview. 

  8. DPSS381 - Personal Assistant - Seven Sisters - 18 Hours Per week (Neath)

    I am a man in my mid 20’s living in the Seven Sisters area. I have Autism and learning difficulties. I enjoy swimming, bike ability, walking, bowling, trampolining and being active. I enjoy going out in my local community on the bus. I need 1:1 support at all times. I have limited communication and can get anxious in new social situations. I also need some support in the house with Daily Living Tasks.

    18 hours per week. 6 to 12 of the hours to be used on a Saturday. The remaining hours to be used flexibly throughout the week, but agreed in advance.

    Rate of pay is £12.00 per hour.

     

  9. DPSS633 - Personal Assistant - 16 hours per week - Cimla (Neath)

    I am a 21 year old Polish man living with my family and small dog in the Cimla area. I am bubbly, chatty and very energetic. I have limited communication and I can be repetitive with my speech. I can speak a little bit of English. I have Autism and Epilepsy. My Epilepsy is controlled by medication and I have not had a fit for three years. I am looking for a PA to support me with attending the clubs I enjoy, going for very long walks and support me with carrying out physical activities, such as playing football, going to the Gym and Swimming. I am able to use the toilet myself, but the PA will need to remind me to wash my hands.

    16 hours a week to be used in 4 x 4 hour blocks.

    Days to be discussed, but will be from 12:00 onwards.

  10. DPSS562 - Personal Assistant - Aberavon - 6 hours (Port Talbot)

    I am a lady in my 70s living in the Aberafan area of Port Talbot area with my husband. I have FND, diabetes and other health problems. My mobility is a little bit limited but I can get around by myself though I use a wheelchair over long distances. I have seizures linked to my FND which I call my “wobbles” which I’ll explain to you more about when we meet.

    CAR DRIVER IS ESSENTIAL

    6 hours per week - Hours are flexible. 

    Hours will be agreed with you in advance by mutual consent.
