Description
I am an 84 year old lady living in Baglan. I have MS and Dementia.
I am a friendly lady with a positive outlook. I am a people person, friendly and Happy. I like to say I am very resilient. I have a very loving supportive family around me, who I enjoy spending time with. I enjoy beach strolls and ice- cream. Going for coffee and cake, and shopping. I enjoy socialising with people and often attend organised bingo evenings. I have become limited with my MS so I use a wheelchair within the community. I also use a zimmer frame to help support me around my home, and a walking stick to support me getting in and out of the car.
Purpose
Personal Care – Aspects of personal care, help in and out of the shower. Assistance and support washing my hair.
Medication – Prompting of my Medication.
To help support with light Domestic duties- Meal preparation, preparing a light Lunch, coffees, and afternoons warming food prepared by my family.
I require support to access the community, to enjoy beach strolls, shopping, and going for coffee and cake – I use a wheelchair when I socialise within the community. I also use a stick to mobilise as I require support for my stability.

- Can undertake personal care tasks in a discrete and confident manner.
- Has experience of working with individuals with dementia would be advantageous.

This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC). If this post requires you to work with children then it is compulsory for you to have a DBS check prior to commencement.
If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.
Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.
You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
