Location and opening hours

You must book a slot before visting.

The site is open 11.00am to 5.00pm 7 days a week.

Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

  • waste electrical and electronic equipment

*These items are classed as building type waste. 

Each household can dispose of up to 3 sacks (1 black bag is equivalent to one sack) per week of building type waste for free at the recycling centre.

You must take larger loads and any sacks containing asbestos to Briton Ferry Recycling Centre. You will have to pay a fee.

Book a slot

The recycling centre closes at 5.00pm. Make sure to leave yourself enough time to unload your vehicle and deposit your waste by 5.00pm.

If you are disabled, our site staff will be happy to help unload your vehicle.

Changes to your booking

You can make changes to your booking online. This includes:

  • cancelling your booking
  • changing the booking slot
  • changing the vehicle registration number

Vans, pick-ups and trailers

Householders with vans, pick-ups and double axle trailers can access the recycling centre but require a permit. When you book a time slot a permit will be issued automatically. Residents are allowed a maximum of 12 permits per year (from 1st April to 31st March the following year).

Single axle trailers do not need a permit.

Tipper/flatbed vans and large 7.5t vans are not allowed on site.
