Statement of principles

Under the Gambling Act 2005, the Council as the Licensing Authority is required to adopt a Gambling Policy, setting out how it will deal with various applications for licences and permits. The Council is required to review this statement at least every 3 years. 

The Gambling Policy 2025 was approved by the Council on the 27 November 2024. It was published on The Council's Website on the 20 December 2024. 

The Policy is effective from the 31 January 2025.
