Neath Port Talbot Council submitted a successful funding application to the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund to deliver £7.7 million of investment at Pontneddfechan which will:
- create a permanent parking solution to better manage visitor impacts on the village of Pontneddfechan
- deliver new and improved public toilet provision
- create a farm/community shop
- create low key visitor accommodation provision
- improve road safety, public realm and landscaping
During autumn/ winter 2023 the Council undertook consultation on the initial draft designs with residents in Pontneddfechan and a report has been produced to summarise the feedback received.
The Council has also produced a written response on how the recommendations have been factored into the final design which is due to go forward in a forthcoming planning application.
