Season to Season - Reach Out Rooms
Season to Season helps people in South Wales who are struggling with money. They give free clothes, uniforms, and essentials to families who need them.
New funding opened more Reach Out Rooms in Pontardawe, Resolven, and Cymmer. These follow the success of their first room in Taibach.
Season to Season works on referral. People can shop privately in one of the rooms or receive a prepared bundle — all free of charge.
Grants and funding
This project was funded £75,500 by the Sustainable Communities Grant Fund.
The funding helped the project open more rooms and support more families.
Project features
The project now offers Reach Out Rooms in:
- Taibach Community Education Centre
- Clydach Community Centre
- Croeserw Community Hub
- Glynneath Training Centre
The rooms provide:
- free, good quality second hand clothing
- school uniforms
- essential items for families
- private, respectful shopping spaces
- clothing bundles prepared on request
The service is designed to:
- support people facing financial pressure
- reduce stigma
- improve access to essential clothing
- make life easier for families across local communities
Making a difference
The expansion of the Reach Out Rooms means more people can get the help they need, close to home. Families can visit a quiet, private space. They can choose the clothes they need, or take a bundle already set aside. It costs nothing. No one judges them.
This simple, useful help lets people keep their dignity, eases their burdens, and strengthens the whole community.
