Boost Your Confidence

The ‘Boost Your Confidence’ Adult Learning in the Community team in Neath Port Talbot have won an award. They helped parents and carers learn maths at Eastern Primary School.

Grants and funding

Amount awarded:

£897,193 through the Multiply Programme.

Project features

  • Delivered numeracy sessions at convenient times within the school to support parent participation.
  • Removed barriers to learning by embedding "Lluosi" into the school environment.
  • Offered engaging sessions such as:
    • budgeting
    • behaviour management
    • fun Science
  • Encouraged family learning through activities like ‘learning with your child’.  
  • Created a supportive and welcoming environment with knowledgeable staff. 
  • Planning to expand with:
    • more ‘Navigating the Future for Parents’ sessions
    • accredited learning opportunities
  • The focus is to:
    • help parents feel confident
    • build self-esteem
    • support families across Neath Port Talbot

  • Strengthened relationships between parents, carers, and children through shared educational experiences
  • Increased parental confidence in supporting children’s learning at home
