The Food Standards Agency have alerted us that certain Jolly Rancher confectionery products manufactured by ‘The Hershey Company,’ in Canada, contain mineral oil which is not permitted in UK food products and render the products non-complaint and unsafe for consumers.

The Hershey Company no longer supplies these products to the UK market, however other businesses continue to import their products for the UK.

NPT Trading Standards team have advised our businesses who were selling Jolly Rancher products to remove them from sale.  However consumers are advised to be vigilant and should they see any Jolly Rancher products on sale to be aware that they have not been manufactured by Hershey’s for the UK market and are unlikely to be compliant.
