A Race With A Difference: Margam Country Park 10k and 5k Run Returns for 5th Year

Following a recent ancient villa discovery, you can run like a Roman at Margam Country Park with a 10k or 5k mixed-terrain route.
Join a 10k or 5k mixed-terrain route around the scenic grounds of Margam Park in South Wales to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the event.
From the Grade I Tudor mansion to the roaming resident deer, you’ll be treated to stunning surroundings with every step.
Margam Park is also under the international spotlight following the recent discovery of an ancient Roman villa, so you never know what’s underfoot during your run!
Your entry fee will help raise funds and awareness for The Mayor of Neath Port Talbot’s two nominated charities. which are:
Type-1-derful, which helps local children with Type 1 diabetes and comes under the umbrella of Diabetes UK
Alzheimer's Society Cymru, which helps anyone affected by Dementia

Mayor of Neath Port Talbot, Councillor Wayne Carpenter said:
“This event is a chance for our residents, as well as people from further afield, to take part in a unique run whilst enjoying beautiful scenery.
“It also raises funds for my nominated charities this year, which is wonderful. Both deliver vital services and are two very worthy causes.”

Main details:
• Check-in open from 9am at Margam Castle
• Parking for participants is free (main car park open from 9am).
• 10k & 5k runs start at 10am
• The 5k run is one lap of the route. The 10k run is two laps.
• All runners will receive a 2026 Parc Margam medal at the finish line!
• Please note: the route is all terrain and includes woodland paths and inclines. It can get muddy in wet weather!
• Your entry fee will help two charities, which are Type-1-derful (which helps children with Type 1 diabetes in Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend), and Alzheimer's Society Cymru. There is no additional commitment to raise sponsorship, but any extra support would be greatly appreciated.
• Participants must be 14 or older at the time of the event
