Overall, the standards reached by the 2026 Year 11 cohort are strong and provide clear recognition of the hard work pupils have demonstrated throughout their school careers.

Councillor Nia Jenkins, Neath Port Talbot Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Early Years, said: “I would like to offer my congratulations to all pupils on their achievements. I am confident that pupils will be able to take their Key Stage 4 qualifications forward into their next stage of education, employment or training. Schools in Neath Port Talbot have delivered good outcomes once again.”

Council Leader, Cllr Steve Hunt, added: “The dedication and perseverance shown by pupils in meeting the challenges of this year is genuinely inspiring. I would also like to thank everyone who has supported them in achieving these results. Their families, parents, school staff and wider communities will rightly be very proud of what they have achieved, and I wish every pupil the very best as they take the next step in their journey.”

For pupils seeking guidance on their next steps, Neath Port Talbot Council’s Employment Support Team will be hosting drop-in advice sessions at The Opportunity Hub, Aberavon Shopping Centre and The Opportunity Hub at 8 Wind Street Neath, on Thursday 20th August and Friday 21st August.

Advisors will be available to offer advice and support. No appointment is necessary. Alternatively, students can call 01639 860160 or email jobsupport@npt.gov.uk for further assistance.
