Inclusive planning in action
The Area Planning Board is committed to embedding lived and living experience into its decision-making processes. By involving individuals directly impacted by planning decisions, we ensure services are shaped by real voices and real needs.
This inclusive approach:
- strengthens empathy
- improves outcomes
- builds trust across communities
It’s not just consultation - it’s collaboration.
Together, we’re designing services that reflect lived realities and foster meaningful change.
LEAF (Lived Experience Advocacy Forum)
LEAF is a collaborative platform within the Western Bay Area Planning Board. It brings together individuals with lived and living experience of substance use. LEAF ensures that the voices of people directly affected by substance use are central to shaping services, strategies, and decision-making across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.
