Energy sources

The council uses a variety of energy sources, some of which are generated on-site via solar and hydro. We enhance that with local on-site solar generation to reduce our grid demand. We can also charge our EVs during lower carbon, lower cost, off peak periods.

At the end of their duty cycles, we charge many of our vehicles using our new solar-powered charging park at The Quays on Baglan Energy Park. It takes less time to plug them in than it does to fill up a traditional combustion engine vehicle.
