Diverse landscapes 

NPT has a wide range of natural places for people to enjoy, including:

  • wetlands of Crymlyn Bog
  • woodlands of the Neath Valley
  • upland peatbogs

Rare wildlife

The region is home to over 21 Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs). These sites allow rare species like the fen raft spider and the shrill carder bee to thrive.

Peaceful retreats

Our natural sites provide a peaceful retreat and a vital sanctuary for wildlife. Walk through the wildflower meadows at Bryn Tip or go bird watching at Pant-y-Sais Fen.
