Neath Food and Drink Festival

Neath Food and Drink Festival

Neath Food and Drink Festival was born in 2009 and has since established itself as one of the premiere events in the town's calendar. Over the past few years, the festival has highlighted the variety of high quality Welsh produce that is available locally and focused on the range of products available from award winning suppliers in the Town’s Victorian Market and surrounding area.

As well as the exhibiting stall holders, it is an excellent opportunity for the established town centre shops, restaurants and café’s to showcase their products to a wider audience.

Having celebrated its seventh year in 2015 the festival hosted  around 80 exhibitors and for the first time over a three day period.  The festival included award winning suppliers from Neath's famous Indoor Victorian Market. The festival was a true celebration of local produce and Neath's historic market town atmosphere.

We also organised a Street Food Zone in Angel Square, a Champagne Tent in the grounds of St Thomas' Church and a Real Ale Hall in the Old Town Hall!  Plus there were guided walks, talks, live music and much more in multiple venues throughout the town. It certainly was an action packed three days!

When you speak to the producers, the first thing that comes across is their passion and knowledge. Whether it is goats milk ice cream, samosa's or sea food, long horn beef or apple juice, everything has been made by people who care passionately about the quality and process of the products they make. By supporting these producers not only are you getting the freshest tasty offerings, you are also helping to support businesses in your local community.

The 2016 Neath Food and Drink Festival event has been confirmed to take place on Friday 30th September, Saturday 1st October and Sunday 2nd October.  You can also make sure that you keep up to date with all of the latest news and information by following us on Twitter or liking our page on Facebook.
