Wellbeing and Behaviour and Cynydd Services
Meet the team
We support schools, staff, pupils and their families with behaviour, emotional and social needs (BESN).
The teams consist of professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, including:
- teaching
- youth work
- therapies
- specialist Behaviour, Emotional and Social Development (BESD) provisions
- alternative curriculum
- family services
- trauma and adversity
- substance misuse
- youth justice
What we do
We offer various services, including school consultations, targeted interventions and whole school support.
School consultation
As part of the graduated response we provide:
- information
- guidance
- strategies to school staff
Targeted interventions
We deliver tailored support for pupils and families with BESN. This support is delivered inside and outside the school, where appropriate.
Whole school support
We support schools to develop effective, whole-school approaches through:
- advice
- practical strategies for staff
- training
- modelling best practices
Accessing our services
Wellbeing and Behaviour Service
Schools should complete an electronic request form. This requires parental consent.
Parents and carers should speak to the Additional Learning Needs Coordinator (ALNCo) in your child's school.
Cynydd Service
The Cynnydd Service is accessible to secondary schools only through an internal referral system. This requires parental consent.
