Mobile Phone Coverage Checker
Neath Port Talbot Council commissioned a mobile connectivity study across the county borough.
Residents and businesses can explore the results using the public checker.
The council worked with Streetwave to carry out a real‑world mobile coverage survey. The survey took place in March 2026.
Streetwave collected data using vehicles driving along local roads. This measured outdoor mobile signal at street level.
The survey
This survey shows how mobile networks perform in real life.
It does not rely only on predicted coverage from mobile network operators.
This helps the council understand where coverage is strong and where it needs to improve.
You can:
- see coverage on your street
- compare mobile networks
- view simple, easy‑to‑understand results
The results
The coverage checker is part of a wider programme.
It helps the council:
- improve digital infrastructure
- support better public services
- target areas with poor connectivity
About the data
- Streetwave data shows real‑world outdoor coverage
- Other tools may show predicted coverage
- Results can vary depending on location and conditions
