Year 10 student Dylan from Ystalyfera School benefiting from his work placement at Quad Bikes Wales
Dylan’s ambition is either to train as a mechanic in Formula 1 or the RAF. When the opportunity was offered to spend a week learning about the mechanics of quad bikes with a local company he grabbed it with both hands. Dylan was so pleased with the experience he volunteered to stay on an extra week during the school holiday.
Dylan said, “I have really enjoyed being here and I would recommend to others to take up a work placement. The team here have been brilliant and I have learnt a lot which will help me with my future work plans”.
Dylan was hands on working with the mechanic team and learning how the business operated in the office and the sales floor.
Dylan’s work placement was organised by NPT Employability, a service provided by Neath Port Talbot Council.
