Neath Port Talbot Council is transforming communities through green infrastructure. We are making places better by planting trees and restoring wetlands.

What’s happening now

Connecting green infrastructure project

Working with local partners, we’re:

  • planting trees to improve air quality and shade urban areas
  • restoring wetlands to reduce flood risk and support wildlife
  • creating pollinator-friendly spaces to boost biodiversity

Decarbonisation and Renewable Energy Strategy (DARE)

Our DARE strategy uses green infrastructure to tackle climate change through:

  • carbon sequestration
  • pollution reduction
  • climate resilience
