Standing Advisory Council on Religion Values and Ethics

The Standing Advisory Council (SAC) advises the local authority on the teaching and learning in schools of religion, values and ethics (RVE).

The SAC's responsibilities include:

  • recommending teaching methods and materials
  • guidance on teacher training
  • advising on any matters referred to it
  • considering complaints about the provision (or lack of provision) of RVE

Through the SAC parents and others can ensure the proper provision of RVE in our schools.
