Domestic abuse
Domestic abuse can be described as an incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threating, degrading, or violent behaviour, including sexual violence. In most cases, this is perpetrated by a partner or ex-partner but can also be inflicted by a family member or carer. Domestic abuse can occur within the home or elsewhere, and often continues after the relationship between the survivor and perpetrator is over.
If you are experiencing any form of violence or abuse you should be able to access help and support when you need it. You can find contact details for specialist support services for violence against women, domestic abuse, and sexual violence (VAWDASV) below.
Live Fear Free Helpline
The Live Fear Free Helpline is a free, confidential 24/7 service that offers information, advice or support around domestic abuse, sexual violence, or violence against women across Wales.
Thrive Women’s Aid

Thrive Women’s Aid is a locally based domestic abuse charity supporting individuals and families in Neath Port Talbot.
New Pathways
New Pathways rape crisis and sexual abuse support services. Specialist support services across Wales for adults, children and young people who have been affected by rape, sexual assault or abuse.
Calan DVS
Calan DVS provides services to end domestic violence and abuse across Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot, South Powys and Ammanford (Carmarthenshire).
Threshold DAS

Threshold DAS is an organisation committed to the elimination of violence and abuse of women, men, children and young people and those who are perpetrators through effecting political, cultural, and social change.
Driving Change

Driving Change is a domestic abuse programme for men who recognise that they have been violent and/or abusive in their relationships
Change that Lasts Early Perpetrator Response (CLEAR)

CLEAR is a free, short awareness raising course for men who would like to have healthier relationships. It aims to meet the needs of men who have identified that their behaviour is causing concern and are motivated to do something about it, but are not yet disclosing or taking responsibility for their abuse.

Stori is a person-centred organisation that helps individuals, families, children and young people overcome a wide range of challenges: including homelessness, surviving domestic abuse, experiencing mental health and substance misuse.
Bawso
Bawso provides practical and emotional prevention, protection, and support services to Black Minority (BME) and migrant victims of Domestic Abuse Sexual Violence, Female Genital Mutilation, Forced Marriage, Honour Based Violence, Modern Slavery, and Human Trafficking.
