Forming a civil partnership

Check your eligibility to form a civil partnership before booking your appointment.

You can form a civil partnership in England or Wales if you’re:

18 or over
not related to each other
not already married or in a civil partnership

To arrange a civil partnership in Neath Port Talbot:

you need to give notice of your intention to register at the register office
you will need to reserve a time slot for your ceremony
pay the statutory fee for giving notice of intention
pay the statutory fee for the formation of the civil partnership
