Overview
UKSPF funding helped NPTC Group of Colleges create Wales' first immersive classroom.
The classroom helps learners gain new skills by using digital tools and VR as part of their training.
Subjects include:
- construction
- engineering
- digital courses
The college has welcomed visitors from across Wales:
- colleges
- universities
- training providers.
They have explored the classroom and shared ideas about skills and learning.

Project features
The space is used to help learners develop employability, digital and subject-specific skills.
The immersive classroom includes:
- a 24-panel Infinity LED wall with high-resolution visuals
- a 6-panel video wall for presentations and group learning
- interactive touchscreens to support collaboration
- virtual reality (VR) headsets for realistic, hands-on training
- digital infrastructure designed to support accessible and inclusive learning experiences
