Thank you for visiting Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council's consultation page which will allow you to comment and provide feedback on topics relevant to Neath Port Talbot.

We look forward to reading your responses to our consultations.

Parks and gardens pilot

From 1st December 2024 to 1st April 2025, park gates stayed open at night so people could walk through at any time.

Now, the council wants your opinion. Please fill in the short survey below.

Your answers will help decide if this should continue in Neath Port Talbot’s parks.

Closing date: 15th September

Walking, wheeling and cycling consultation

We are asking for your advice on plans to improve walking, wheeling and cycling in towns and villages across the county borough.

Under the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013, all local councils in Wales must regularly review and improve their walking, wheeling, and cycling routes. Our current map was approved by the Welsh Government in 2022, and now it’s time to update it with the changes and improvements made over the past three years.

What's being updated?

The updated map will include:

  • existing routes: routes that meet Welsh Government standards for walking, wheeling, and cycling
  • future routes: proposed routes that either don’t yet exist or need improvements to meet the required standards.
The consultation is live from 3rd September until midnight 19th October.

Hard copy questionnaires can be found at the following libraries:

  • Cymmer
  • Glynneath
  • Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen
  • Neath
  • Pontardawe
  • Port Talbot
  • Sandfields

Hard copy questionnaires can be handed to library staff to be formally submitted.
