Third Sector Grants 2025/2026

The Neath Port Talbot Third Sector Grant fund is now open for applications for the financial year 2025/2026.

The council is offering the opportunity to third sector organisations to apply for 12 months funding to deliver activities, community projects or cover core costs.

The total amount available is £239,000. Organisations are asked to be mindful of the amount they will be applying for (as the total amount will need to be spread across several organisations that are successful). 

Applications are invited that demonstrate:

1. Contribution to the delivery of key policies and priorities as agreed in the Council's Corporate Plan 2024-2027
2. Reducing the demand on council services
3. Levering in of additional resources. Applications that demonstrate how council funding will be used to lever in additional resources in support of council policies and priorities are particularly welcomed
4. Financial sustainability. The council will wish to be satisfied that the applicant is not dependent on continuing council funding to achieve financial sustainability

In addition to the above criteria, it will be vitally important for proposed applications to also demonstrate how the activities will contribute to any of the following key focus areas, where the council is currently experiencing increasing demand and cost:

• tackling child poverty
• mental health
• vulnerable adults

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and any application submitted in Welsh will be treated no less favourably than an application submitted in English.

• Please read the Scheme before completing an application form.
• Applications should show how the proposal embraces the Sustainable Development principle as contained within the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
• Closing date for applications: 24 January 2025
• Applicants will be notified following Cabinet decision on 19th March as to whether or not they have been successful.
• Funding will commence on or after 1^st April 2025.
