Welsh Benefits Charter

An agreement between the Welsh Government and all 22 local authorities to work together to improve the Welsh Benefits System.

The aim is to:

• help more people claim the support they are entitled to
• make the process easier and more consistent
• improve the experience for everyone who applies

Welsh Government provides help for:

• Free school meals (primary schools)
• Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) 
• Welsh Government Learning Grant (Further Education) 
• Healthy Start Vouchers

• Help with Health Costs
