Apply for an allotment
Allotments are small plots of land that you can rent to grow your own fruit and vegetables. They’re usually part of a larger site shared with other gardeners.
Current availability
All allotment plots are currently full. There is a long waiting list and it may take several years to get a plot. You can still apply to join the waiting list.
Who can apply
You must live in Neath Port Talbot County Borough to rent an allotment plot.
You’ll need to:
- sign a tenancy agreement
- pay rent every year
How much an allotment costs
Annual rent payable from April:
- £77 (standard rate)
- £67 (concessionary rate)

- Cwmafan
- Margam
- Baglan Moors
- Baglan
Other allotment sites
Some sites in the Neath area are managed by local Community Councils:
- Blaenhonddan
- Briton Ferry
- Neath Town
- Resolven
- Tonna
