Council sets out major investment plan to improve neighbourhoods across the County Borough

Neath Port Talbot Council has approved a programme of investment designed to improve neighbourhoods, strengthen local infrastructure and support communities across the County Borough. The Neighbourhood Improvement Plan will direct around £4.5m of funding into priority areas over the next three years.
Construction underway on SWITCH research centre in Port Talbot

Construction has now begun on the South Wales Industrial Transition from Carbon Hub, otherwise known as SWITCH. It is a £28 million research facility designed to accelerate the decarbonisation of the steel and metals sector. When fully operational, up to 95 staff are expected to be based there.
