How Lifeline works

Overview

We’ll help you decide on the level of support to suit your needs.

Installation

One of our engineers will install your Lifeline unit and any other sensors required. The engineer will ensure that the unit is as accessible as possible. They will explain each piece of equipment to you.

The Lifeline base unit must be plugged in to a power socket at all times.

Gardens

The equipment will work in most small gardens, but the engineer will check the range for you.

Emergency contact

You must provide at least one emergency contact available to contact in case of an emergency.

Activation

If the Lifeline or sensors are activated, a call goes to our monitoring centre. The call centre operator will speak to you through the loudspeaker on the base unit and decide with you what to do.

In most areas of the house, the staff will hear you. If not, they will phone you first before calling for an appropriate responder.

If the staff are unable to hear you because you are outside, they will call your emergency contacts or the police to carry out a welfare call.

Maintenance

We recommend testing your lifeline monthly to ensure it works properly.

If there's a problem, you can phone us on 01639 686636 and we will arrange a maintenance call.
