  • DPSS692 - Personal Assistant - 12 hours per week (cover) - Waunceirch

    I am a 23 year old man living in Waunceirch. I have Autism and a moderate learning difficulty. I like to be independent and I am very chatty. I like going for walks and I am very interested in animals. I enjoy being on public transport. I enjoy video games and watching Marvel, Anime and YouTube. Routine is important to me.

    I don’t like loud noises and crowded places. I don’t like the rain and the wind. I do not have any safety awareness with others, and a PA would need to keep me safe and support me with my spatial awareness around people.

    I am looking for a PA to help me volunteer at an animal shelter, go for a walk and go into town for some shopping and to a café. I would also like the PA to support me in going swimming and to the cinema.

    I also want the PA to support me at home with being independent if the weather is not nice for us to go out. I need the PA to help me make basic meals and use the microwave, do the dishes and clean my room. Once these tasks are done, the PA can keep me company by playing video games for a short while.

    Cover for sick leave 

    12 hours a week to be worked as either:

    2 x 6 hours on a Tue & Thurs

    Start times are flexible

  • DPSS693 - Personal Assistant - Lower Brynamman

    I am a 49 year old man living within the lower Brynamman area of Ammanford. I enjoy watching TV and I am a Liverpool supporter. I would love to visit Liverpool one day to watch a match. I don’t go out within the community at present due to my health needs, I used to be very outgoing however due to my MS which has a significant impact on my day to day life, therefore I have not been as outgoing and able to meet my personal outcomes as independently. I understand support is required due to physical limitations to maintain safety and improve health and wellbeing. My mum is my primary support.

    3 hours per week.

    Monday 6-7pm 

    Wednesday 6-7pm

    Friday 6-7pm

     

  • DPSS694 - Personal Assistant - Cwmafan/Cwmavon

    I am a mature lady who enjoys walking along the beach and having an ice cream, I enjoy beach walks at all times of the year. I use a wheelchair which parts into two pieces to be able to fit into a car. A car driver is essential. I enjoy attending craft fairs once a month which normally falls on a weekend day. I enjoy the cinema, and shopping especially for my fresh food produce. I enjoy the occasional lunch and attending the odd concert. I really enjoy the Christmas lights at Margam illuminate. I have a cat however the cat is only allowed in certain rooms.

    9 hours per week flexible days and times to be discussed at interview

  • DPSS464 - Personal Assistant - Sandfields - 12 hours per week

    I am a 14 year old girl who is non-verbal and I communicate via an assisted augmentative device (AAC). I enjoy sensory input and playing on my trampoline and swing. I am looking for a PA to support me at home. This would include helping me with washing, dressing, toileting and medication. I have good mobility and do not require any support with this.

    I like cheeky and fun people that don’t mind being a bit mischievous, but I also need people who can be firm with me when needed, as if I feel frustrated or upset I can be a little challenging.    

    12 hours a week to be used as 6pm to Midnight on a Tuesday and 6pm to Midnight on a Saturday.

    The post is to start in the first week of June.

  • DPSS631 - Personal Assistant - 11 hours per week - Ystalyfera

    I am a 53 year old man who has recently suffered a stroke, I would like to employ a Personal Assistant to help support my rehabilitation and help me to continue to follow my passions and upkeep my socialisation skills. I love a joke and having fun and a good laugh. I have a great sense of humour. I do have limited speech which has resulted from my stroke.

    I require someone who has patience as my communication struggles can be frustrating for me, but this doesn’t stop me wanting to have fun, and a good laugh. Chatting is good as it can help me regain my independence. My passions are gardening, cooking and walking.

    I will require support to appointments such as Physio group, and medical apps, rehabilitation apps.

    11 hours per week to be used as 5 hours on a Friday. Remainder 6 hours to be used flexibly.

  • DPSS287 - (COVER) Personal Assistant - Baglan - 6 hours per week

    I am a 59 year old man living in Baglan with my three large but friendly dogs. I am chatty and friendly with a big personality. I have osteoarthritis in my spine, which can affect my mobility, but regular moving and exercise helps with this. I also have a brain injury due to an accident, which can affect my memory. I am very outdoorsy and enjoy walking my three dogs, gardening and doing DIY around the home. I have my own workshop at home where I do woodturning. I also like going out for coffee and other activities.

    I am looking for a PA to support by prompting me on tasks around the home, support me with my gardening, DIY and woodturning. The PA would support me when out walking the dogs. The PA will be required to drive my mobility car so I can access the community and go for coffee. The PA will promote my independence and doing things with me, not for me.

    6 hours a week to be used as 3 x 2 hour blocks on a Mon, Wed and Fri.

    Times are flexible.

  • DPSS621 - Personal Assistant - 8 hours per week - Port Talbot

    I am a 34 year old lady living in central Port Talbot. I have hearing loss, but I can hear OK when I’m wearing my hearing aids. I am also partially sighted, as I have no peripheral vision, suffer with blind spots and my eyes take a long time to adjust in going between light and dark environments. This can cause me to become anxious in new places. I use a white cane when I’m out, but I can manage in a familiar environment.

    I am shy at first but will become chattier when you get to know me.

    I am looking for a PA to support me to go shopping, go for a walk and access socialising groups during the week. On the weekend, the PA will support me in taking my young son out to activities and places that he will enjoy.

    8 hours a week to be used as:

    1 ½ hours on a Monday & on a Thursday from 12:00 onward

    5 hours on a Saturday from 10:00 onward.

    With a view to be flexible with times however days are as shown above. Discuss at interview.

  • DPSS312 - Personal Assistant - Margam - Cover PA

    I am a 63-year-old man living in Margam. I have Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. I also have a slight sensory impairment and speech impediment. I am able to walk short distances but use a wheelchair when out for long periods. I am very sociable and love to be out and about. I enjoy watching football on telly and going to see Swansea City play. I enjoy bowling, going to the cinema and out with social groups. I also try to go to the gym.

    I am looking for a COVER PA to support me while my current PA’s are off. Job share welcome.

    Cover from 19th August to 16th October 2025. (8 weeks in total).

    Days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and hours to be discussed. (Day time cover).

  • DPSS592 - Personal Assistant - 3 hours per week - Clyne

    I’m an elderly lady living in the Clyne area of Neath. I have an interest in Politics and History, and enjoy watching game shows on TV. I enjoy spending time within the community and shopping. I have limited mobility, therefore I would need to be pushed in my wheelchair. I’m looking for a PA to help me get out and about, keep me company and help me to do the things I like to do, also helping me to attend appointments at times. I may request you to advocate during these appointments. I will require a PA who can drive and will be able to pick me up from my home address and transport me to desired destination.

    CAR DRIVER ESSENTIAL

    3 hours per week 
    Thursdays with some flexibility between the hours of 12pm to 4pm.

  • DPSS299 - Personal Assistant - Glynneath - 14 hours per week (job share welcome)

    I am a elderly disabled man living in the Glynneath area. I am an easy-going individual. I like TV and my computer.

    I am unable to maintain my body temperature and therefore need to be kept warm and I use a coal fire to do this.

    I am looking for 2 or more PA’s to support me at home.

    DRIVING LICENCE NOT REQUIRED

    14 hours over 7 days.

    Mon to Sun - 2 hours per day from 10:00 to 11:00 and 14:00 to 15:00 (there is flexibility of 20 mins with the PM call).

    Some flexibility will be required as you may be asked to cover from time to time.
