Preferred Strategy

Preferred Strategy Consultation is now open: Midday 12th December 2024 to Midday 6th February 2025.

Christmas closure: As the consultation is taking place during the planned Christmas office closure (between midday on 24th December 2024 and 9am 2nd January 2025), we will not be able to respond to calls or emails during this time. The consultation period has been extended from its statutory 6 weeks to an 8-week period to take this into account. We will endeavour to respond to all queries as quickly as possible when the office reopens in the New Year.

Preferred Strategy for the Replacement Local Development Plan

The Council is currently consulting on its Pre-Deposit (Preferred Strategy) for the Replacement Local Development Plan (RLDP) for the period 2023-2038. The RLDP will allocate land for homes and employment, protect the unique environment of NPT and contain policies to provide the basis for decisions on planning applications.

The Plan will also assist in bringing together the Council’s Corporate Plan and Well-being Plan, alongside other Council Strategies.
